Volvo Cars International

During the summer of 2007 I was working as a Customer Consultant at Volvo Cars International Customer Sales in Gothenburg. This was a really great summer job. The department was responsible for sales of cars to tourists, expatriates, diplomats and military personal abroad. The program works so that the Americans buy the car at a dealer in USA and then fly to the Factory Delivery Center in Gothenburg to pick the car up. My tasks include a professional service and delivery of vehicles to customer from a world wide basis. However most of the customers were from USA. I described to them the different documents and where to sign. Explained all the futures and functions of the car and sometime also picked them up by one of our limousines. In the overseas delivery program Volvo paid for the flight with SAS and also the first hotel night at SAS Radissons. They could do this because the value of the car will be less when they import it to the USA. So if the Americans bought a Volvo they get a free holiday in Europe with their own car. And during their visit (up to 6 month) Volvo has taken care of registration, insurance, road assistance etcetera. Sweet, isn’t it?
