Delft University of Technology

During 2007/2008 I were studying one year at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology. I got accepted throught the Erasmus program. Delft has very much to offer the students. The academic part keeps a good quality and there were many interesting classes and projects going on. It is easy to understand Delft’s reputation after being there for 11 months. What I like most about the academic part is that it is very easy to have discussions the professors about anything. It’s also very easy to follow courses at other faculties.

Sudying at TU Delft is more than just attending lectures and passing exams. It is also about to have a good time. I found it easy to get both Dutch and international friends. The best way to get to know the Dutch is the way you decide to live. The Dutch, international student and tourist are quite different. I live myself only with international students at Marcushof here in Delft. This life is special as well and it is very interesting to get the opportunity to understand all the different cultures. Another way to get to know the Dutch as an International student is to join one of the many student associations. After getting an overview of the associations I decided to join the DARE committee as well as Leeghwater Case committee.

The University culture is helping provide a lot for with student organizations. For example, they have all plenty of space and can easy access the different rooms at the facilities such as wind tunnels & workshops. In fact I have been writting a lot about the student life in Delft because I got employed by the university to write a weblog. Getting my paid for my trips, perfect! I have summarized the biggest projects I was taken part in the sub menu to the left. You can read about the weblog here: Daniel Andersson – TUD weblog.
