Chalmers University of Technology
I am a technical student at Chalmers University of Technology. I study the Master program Systems, Control and Mechatronics. This means that I study signals from any type of sensor, like a GPS, radar or a temperature sensor. I learn how to design control algorithms to applications which use microcontrollers to for example control the temperature in the room, steering a car, learning a robot to fight, making it easier to steer a boats, stabilize an airplanes etc. The last word “Mechatronics” mean that I don’t just sit and formulate the mathematical equations but also the integration between the mechanical, electronically domains as well as the human. This mean that I also do things such as the graphical user interface for the operator and also consider other type of soltions. Like a door lock, it can be purely mechanical or be integrated with electronics. Which solutions would be the best to use at the International space station?
I been part of two big projects at Chalmers. 2007 I was taking the course Chalmers Formula Student (CFS) is driven by the Applied Mechanics at Chalmers University of Technology. The aim of this course is to let the students go through and understand all of the development steps commonly used in the industry. In this case by building a small race car from scratch. Through spirited teamwork and past experience, we will build a reliable, thoroughly tested FS car, to gain knowledge and finish top ten in FS UK 2007. [...] Continue Reading…
I have also been very active in the Student association BEST. BEST Chalmers is committee of Chalmers Student Union which is representing the local group of the international student network BEST. BEST Chalmers offers all the Chalmers students the opportunity to go inexpenive interesting crash courses all over Europe. This is because it’s pretty easy to find sponsors and grant which aid these kinds of international projects for youth. For a half year the local group plan schedule, accommodation, activates, restaurants, excursions, t-shirts etcetera. Everything is included and sometimes you will also get refund for the trip, but is not promoted in order to not get unserious people to apply. [...] Continue Reading…
Due to all the time I have spent on these projects together with my year in the Netherlands I was a2008 awarded with the title “Årets Teknolog” or “Student of Technology Award 2008″ in english. I have also recived some other nice schoolarships. [...] Continue Reading…
